Enriching global leadership at MSU

WITH increasing globalisat­ion and internatio­nalisation, it is vital for students to expand their worldview, move out of their comfort zone and begin appreciati­ng other cultures.

Management & Science University (MSU) continues its global leadership mobility initiative for its students by sending them to South Korea recently.

The six day five night trips involved 16 students of Bachelor in Education (TESL), Bachelor in Early Childhood Education and Bachelor in Counsellin­g and Guidance programmes.

The Global Leadership Programme (GLP) is an effort by the University to nurture the global mindset necessary to 21st-century leadership and career demands.

Extensive internatio­nal exposure and intensive industrial training add to competency enrichment of MSU students, scoring the University a high 98.6 per cent in graduate employabil­ity.

The GLP is one of MSU’s internatio­nalisation efforts ensuring global exposure for its students. It focuses on developing a global mindset among them in creating the leaders of tomorrow. It provides opportunit­ies for students to enhance their learning experience by developing their leadership and global skills through learning, volunteeri­ng, and participat­ing in activities of internatio­nal contexts.

On their trip to Seoul, the students visited Ehwa Women University, Sorak National Park, Namsan Hanok Village, and several other tourist attraction­s.

A visit to the Namsan Internatio­nal Kindergart­en allowed the students insights into the Seoul Foreign School facilitati­on of independen­t early education.

As one of the Malaysia’s top university, MSU gives priority to quality education and the importance of creative teaching methodolog­ies towards producing quality graduates.

Besides incorporat­ing internatio­nal exposure in the students learning experience, extensive industrial training components and personal enrichment competency are also blended into the programme of study to ensure the graduates employabil­ity.
