PCS Matunggong Women revamped

-

KOTA KINABALU: Parti Cinta Sabah (PCS) Women’s movement in Matunggong, has been revamped following the resignation of its divisional chief Normah Tukaron.

Normah left PCS to join Parti Harapan Rakyat (PHR) on July 31, PCS Women chief Jornah Mozihim said in a statement yesterday.

“I personally believe Normah’s decision to leave PCS was due to a certain personality who is close to her who happens to be a member of PHR and not politics. Her departure has not weakened the PCS Wanita movement in Matunggong and Kota Marudu. In fact, her departure is a blessing in disguise for PCS as this enabled us to restructure the PCS Wanita in Matunggong to strengthen the movement with leaders who are more sincere in the struggle of PCS and more capable of being leaders of a political movement such as PCS,” she said.

According to Jornah, Saini Duen, who held the post of vice-chairperson of the PCS Women in the division, has been elevated to the post as protem chairperson.

“With her experience, I can assure that the new line-up of the PCS Women in Matunggong will be able to assist the party come the 14th general election in its objective for ‘total regime change’,” she added.

Jornah also disclosed that Azwa Nabihah is no longer the Ranau and Karanaan PCS Wanita chief and has also not been a member of the Central PCS Wanita exco since April 11.

News circulating on social media, especially those being circulated in Ranau, stating that she left PCS on July 31, is not true, she said.

“We accepted her decision to join STAR long before PCS exited Gabungan Sabah in the spirit of comradeship. Her departure was not a loss to PCS Wanita in any way,” Jornah said.
