‘Nothing to Hide 2.0’ chaos a glimpse of M’sia under opposition

-

KUALA LUMPUR: The chaos at the ‘Nothing to Hide 2.0’ forum is a glimpse of the disaster that Malaysia could face, if the DAPled opposition assumes power in the next general election, says Datuk Seri Tengku Sariffuddin Tengku Ahmad.

The prime minister’s press secretary said the wild allegations blaming Umno and Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak for the incident by opposition leaders were false, reckless and unbecoming and it was a clear attempt to divert attention from the disintegration of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia (PPBM).

“PPBM was entirely responsible for the event, so to blame the pandemonium on Umno is an attempt by the opposition to cover up the shameless action of its own members.

“The reality is that opposition supporters present were upset with (Tun) Dr Mahathir Mohamad’s inability to answer questions at the forum on scandals during his rule, such as his jailing of Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and the Memali killings,” he said in a statement today, adding that the ‘Nothing to Hide 2.0’ forum had instead become an ‘Everything to Hide’ forum.

Tengku Sariffuddin said everyone knew, and it became clear at the event that Pakatan Harapan was fundamentally divided.

“What else could be expected from a coalition that has been cobbled together as a marriage of convenience by former enemies who did everything to destroy each other for decades,” he said. - Bernama
