The resort management sponsored the tour expenses and lunch for the visiting members, in the spirit of affection among the Sze Yip group.

Sipadan Mangrove Resort is located in a quiet and exclusive sanctuary of pristine mangroves, and is about 50 minutes’ car ride from Tawau Airport. It is only 30 minutes’ boat ride to Kapalai, Sipadan and Mabul island.

Resort manager Nip Wing Kan said about 90 per cent of China tourists came to Tawau but most of them would go to Semporna.

He expressed hope the resort could attract them with the beautiful mangrove views and 100 per cent organic agricultural products.

He believed the resort could spur the tourism industry in Tawau in the future.
