Celcom optimistic of 30 pct increase in post-paid users

KUALA LUMPUR: Celcom Axiata Bhd is optimistic of increasing the number of postpaid users by 30 per cent following the enhancemen­t of its postpaid Celcom FIRST plans.

Chief marketing officer Zalman Aefendy Zainal Abidin said Celcom, at present, had 2.9 million postpaid users.

Celcom’s FIRST Gold Supreme and FIRST Platinum Plus plans, launched yesterday, offered subscriber­s 50GB at RM128 and 100GB at RM188, respective­ly, at no additional cost.

“Celcom FIRST plans have been refreshed to deliver the best digital and video streaming experience, and consumers do not have to worry about running out of Internet access time,” he told reporters after the launch of the enhanced plans yesterday.

The FIRST Gold Supreme plan (RM128) offers 25GB on weekdays and 25GB for weekend with additional 25GB of free Video Walla while the FIRST Platinum Plus (RM188) offered 100GB any day Internet with 100GB of free Video Walla.

“These two plans comes with unlimited voice calls, short message service and free Yonder Music subscripti­on,” said Zalman Aefendy.

All Celcom FIRST Plans, including the FIRST Gold (RM80, 10GB weekday,10GB weekend) and FIRST Gold Plus (RM98, 20GB weekday, 20GB weekend) comes with unlimited calls, WhatsApp and WeChat, including unlimited music streaming with Yonder Music.

Meanwhile, the current FIRST Platinum plan (30GB weekday, 30GB weekend) has also been revised to RM148 monthly from RM150 previously with an additional 30GB of free Video Walla. — Bernama
