Hung Xing Seafood Restaurant opens new outlet in D’junctionwith

-

PENAMPANG: Fans of the Hung Xing Seafood Restaurant, renowned among seafood lovers for its fresh, delicious produce and reasonable pricing, will be pleased to know that they have opened another outlet at the D’Junction building near here.

“We have taken over a restaurant on the second floor of the D’Junction building and have renamed the restaurant ‘Ocean Treasure Restaurant’,” said Hung Xing Seafood Restaurant director Chung Siu Syn.

Chung said that the restaurant carries the ‘serve no pork’ status, which was a positive approach which opened their doors to a wider range of clientele.

He added that they have taken extra measures to control the quality of the prawns and groupers that are served to their customers.

“Our prawns and groupers come from our own farms, which are located in Beaufort and Kuala Penyu, respectively. We also have our own grouper fish fry farm,” Chung disclosed.

Not only that, Hung Xing Seafood Restaurant also abstains from using chemicals such as formalin to put the groupers and prawns to sleep while they are transported from the farm to the restaurant.

“Instead, we use ice to control the water temperature which will induce the prawns and fishes to go into hibernation while they are being transported,” he said.

During the interview, Chung said that Hung Xing Seafood Restaurant is offering a range of buffet packages for full moon, birthdays and catering.

The restaurant offers nine types of dishes and clients can make early bookings for prices as low as RM32++ per person, with a minimum of 60 people, he said.

Chung added that the restaurant will also introduce a new menu once every three months and that they are open from 7.30am to 10.30pm.

Aside from that, they also provide a meeting package for SMEs and corporate functions with their special ‘Seafood Banana Leaf’ between 11am and 5pm where clients can select from a selection of six meals ranging from fish, scallop, chicken, prawn, crab and squid set meals.

For those planning on getting married, there are wedding packages on offer and their ballroom can accommodate 550 seats. Their wedding package starts at RM698++ per table.

One of the perks at Hung Xing Seafood Restaurant, said Chung, is that clients are allowed to bring their own drinks from outside without being charged extra.

Aside from that, they also have ample parking area capable of accommodating up to 200 cars since they have already acquired an adjacent land.

Yet another new offering at the restaurant is their Super Bowl Fish Noodles Soup.

“We start serving these at 7.30am,” he said.

As for their new Ocean Treasure Restaurant at D’ Junction, Chung said that one of its main attraction would be its dim sum.

The new venue is able to accommodate 700 chairs and is also offering weekday wedding packages for as low as RM488++ per table (minimum 25 tables).

The buffet for events such as full moon, birthdays and catering are also offered at RM33++ per person with a minimum of 60 people.
