Police report against Lahad Datu 'transvestite party'

-

LAHAD DATU: Pertubuhan Kebajikan dan Pembangunan Masyarakat Islam Sabah (Paksi), Pertubuhan Permuafakatan Majlis Ayahanda Malaysia (Permas) and Pertubuhan Kebajikan Lang Merah Malaysia lodged a police report over the organisation of 'The Best Shemale (Transvestite) Fashion Party'.

The party is expected to be held at 9pm on October 17 at an entertainment centre in Lahad Datu.

According to Paksi secretarygeneral, Mohd Ridzal Abdullah, the report was lodged as the party could mislead a person's faith and thinking.

Ridzal, who was accompanied by Lang Merah deputy president Syamsuddin Ismail and Permas Lahad Datu chairman Sulaiman, lodged the report at the Lahad Datu police headquarters about 2pm on Wednesday.

"This police report is a protest against such activities that could promote immoral activity and bring negative impact to this district," he said.

Ridzal said he obtained information about the party from a poster that was uploaded on Facebook on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Syamsuddin and Sulaiman hoped that the relevant authorities would stop the organising of the party and take appropriate action.

They also advised the public to not promote the party on social media and refrain from supporting entertainment activities such as these.
