PAM Sabah Chapter Fellowship Golf

-

KOTA KINABALU: The first leg of the PAM Sabah Chapter Fellowship Golf was held on Oct 14 at the Sabah Golf and Country Club.

Due to the recent wet weather with most afternoons raining, the ground conditions were very soggy, making play pretty tough since the balls did not run far. Further to this, it was buggy on track, demanding good stamina and strong legs.

“This is the first time in the history of our fellowship golf games since 2000 that the game was washed out by rain, and we have to decide the winners, based on the results of the first nine holes played,” said Victor Wong, the organising chairman of the event.

“One of the objectives of the PAM Fellowship Golf game is to promote fellowship amongst the golfers in the building industries, comprising the architects, engineers, surveyors, suppliers, contractors and developers, as well as to promote golf as a form of exercise for better health,” Wong added.

There were three categories of prizes given away, the Architects section, the PAM Invitee Section and the newly inaugurated “Open Section in Reversed Order” Section.

Winners of the different categories were: Architects Section: First: Shahriman Abdullah Second: Lam Choi Sing Third: Nigel Majalang PAM Invitee Section: First: Johnny Wong Second: Chong Teck Kee Third: John Lim Open Category (in Reversed Order) First: Canon Teo Second: Francis Chong Third:Chin Yin Tet Haji Shahriman Abdullah, the chairman of the Social Activities Committee, thanked Mr Billy Liau, the managing director Iras Bumi Sdn Bhd for sponsoring the presentation lunch and prizes.
