Slurp! bags award at MSC Malaysia APICTA 2017
KUALA LUMPUR: Silentmode Sdn Bhd (Slurp!) the developer of Slurp! cloud-based point-of-sale system (POS) that specialises in food and beverages (F&B) industry sector has emerged as the winner in the category of Best of Retail and Supply Chain Management of MSC Malaysia APICTA 2017 Awards programme.
Commenting on the award, Slurp! chief executive officer (CEO) and co-founder Reza Razali, said in a press statement, “We are very pleased to have received the award of Best of Retail and Supply Chain Management from the MSC Malaysia APICTA this year.
“Since our launch in 2014, we’ve successfully overcome many challenges as we tried to introduce a modern way of managing F&B outlets. We certainly appreciate that judges at MSC Malaysia APICTA took notice of our progress too and presented us with this esteemed award.
“It’s an honour, thank you National ICT Association of Malaysia (PIKOM) and an initiative of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC).”
As a winner, Slurp! received a trophy and a certificate. In addition, Slurp! will represent Malaysia at the International APICTA 2017 in Dhaka, Bangladesh in December.
MSC Malaysia APICTA 2017 was organised by PIKOM and an initiative of MDEC.
PIKOM chairman Chin Chee Seong said, “PIKOM congratulates Silentmode for their success. The product is very innovative and we hope that this award will spur them on towards greater success.” First released in June 2014, Slurp! currently has over 500 F&B outlets as customers in some major cities around the country.”
Reza added, “At Slurp! we try to improve the way people operate their F&B businesses by introducing an online system that’s easy to use. Something new to them is that we also make analytical data available for them so they could make better decisions on matters like staff management, food ordering and inventory management. Gone are the days when restaurants and cafes had to rely heavily on papers to record sales, take customer orders and perform other tasks.
