PDIS Unity Golf Tournament in November

KOTA KINABALU: Attractive hole-in-one prizes will be on offer in the PDIS Unity Golf Tournament at the Dalit Bay Golf & Country Club (DBGCC) in Tuaran in November.

Organising chairman Alijus Hj Sipil, in a statement yesterday, said the tournament organised by Pertubuhan Dusun Islam Sabah (PDIS) will tee off at 6am.

Among the hole-in-one prizes are a Harley Davidson motorcycle and an Isuzu D’Max vehicle sponsored by Syarikat Fook Loi Sdn. Bhd.

Apart from that, a Proton SAGA car sponsored by Persatuan Pengimport dan Peniaga Kenderaan Malaysia (PEKEMA) Sabah Branch and cash of RM10,000 too will be up for grabs.

“We have set a target of 120 golfers or 30 flights in all... registrati­on will open until November 4.

“Apart from the hole-inone, there will also be prizes according to the categories contested as well as lucky draw prizes with a total amount of over RM10,000,” said Alijus, who is also Tawau Municipal Council president and the vice president II of PDIS.

According to him, the objectives of the tournament are to raise funds where part of it will be distribute­d to selected beneficiar­ies while the rest to be used to implement PDIS activities.

Among the social programmes planned by PDIS is to provide assistance to underprivi­leged students from rural areas.
