Gleneagles Hospital to hold Mummy and Me Health Talk
KOTA KINABALU: The Gleneagles Kota Kinabalu Hospital will be collaborating with the Young Malaysians Movement (YMM) Kota Kinabalu Branch to organise a Mummy and Me Health Talk on November 4 from 1pm to 4pm at Zara's Boutique Hotel, located opposite the Gleneagles Kota Kinabalu Hospital.
This health talk aims to keep mothers updated on the latest health issues, not only for their children but also themselves.
There will be three speakers during the talk and they are Consultant Paediatrician and Paediatric Gastroenterologist Dr Alvin Khoh, Consultant Paediatric Surgeon Dr S. Rajah and Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist Dr Gavin Yong.
Their topics will range from common tummy and surgical problems in children to cervical cancer.
Dr Alvin Khoh pursued a subspecialty training in Paediatric Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition after completing his training in General Paediatrics. His area of expertise includes general paediatrics, paediatric gastrointestinal and liver diseases.
Dr S. Rajah graduated from the University of Madras and proceeded to obtain a Master's Degree in General Surgery and Super Special Qualification in Paediatric Surgery. He is the only qualified Paediatric Surgeon in the private hospital sector here in Sabah.
Dr Gavin Yong got his Master's in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from University Sains Malaysia. Aside from handling maternity and gynae cases, his special interests include counselling for infertility patients, initiating ovarian stimulations and intrauterine insemination.
