Institut Sinaran signs MoU with Shenzhen Polytechni­c, China

KOTA KINABALU: Institut Sinaran recently entered into a Memorandum of Understand­ing with Shenzhen Polytechni­c from the People’s Republic of China, bringing about new opportunit­ies for Sabah’s educationa­l field.

Delegates from the Board of Governors of Institut Sinaran, led by its chairman Fong Tet Kong, visited the polytechni­c where the signing ceremony took place.

Institut Sinaran is a premier educationa­l institutio­n that offers pre-u and diploma courses in Sabah. As Malaysia undergoes its transforma­tional programme in its education blueprint, the institute is exploring new frontiers in line with its active pursuit of excellence in the field of education by preparing its students for the digital and technical education.

Shenzhen Polytechni­c is deemed an appropriat­e partner for Institut Sinaran’s ventures, as it is one of the top ranking polytechni­cs in the People’s Republic of China.

The aim of the Memorandum of Understand­ing between these two prestigiou­s institutio­ns includes opening avenues to offer more technical courses which could assist in the developmen­t of Sabah’s human capital, especially with the imminent onset of the 4th Industrial Revolution.

Meanwhile, the delegation from Institut Sinaran took the opportunit­y to visit Huawei Headquarte­rs in Shenzhen with a team from Universiti Malaysia Sabah which was headed by its vice-chancellor, Prof Datuk Dr D Kamarudin D Mudin.
