Institut Sinaran signs MoU with Shenzhen Polytechnic, China
KOTA KINABALU: Institut Sinaran recently entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with Shenzhen Polytechnic from the People’s Republic of China, bringing about new opportunities for Sabah’s educational field.
Delegates from the Board of Governors of Institut Sinaran, led by its chairman Fong Tet Kong, visited the polytechnic where the signing ceremony took place.
Institut Sinaran is a premier educational institution that offers pre-u and diploma courses in Sabah. As Malaysia undergoes its transformational programme in its education blueprint, the institute is exploring new frontiers in line with its active pursuit of excellence in the field of education by preparing its students for the digital and technical education.
Shenzhen Polytechnic is deemed an appropriate partner for Institut Sinaran’s ventures, as it is one of the top ranking polytechnics in the People’s Republic of China.
The aim of the Memorandum of Understanding between these two prestigious institutions includes opening avenues to offer more technical courses which could assist in the development of Sabah’s human capital, especially with the imminent onset of the 4th Industrial Revolution.
Meanwhile, the delegation from Institut Sinaran took the opportunity to visit Huawei Headquarters in Shenzhen with a team from Universiti Malaysia Sabah which was headed by its vice-chancellor, Prof Datuk Dr D Kamarudin D Mudin.
