Call for proper e-waste collection point
KOTA KINABALU: The Sabah Computer Society (SCS) hopes the relevant authorities will consider setting up a proper collection point for electronic waste or e-waste in the city.
“We need a proper collection area which is sustainable in the long run,” said SCS e-waste event project leader, Datin Nurul Umayra Chong.
There has been very good response with a lot of people sending their e-waste to the e-waste recycling programme held from Friday until yesterday at SMK St Francis Convent (M) Kota Kinabalu here.
Also present at the event was the school’s Parent-Teacher Association chairman, Abdul Razak Salleh.
