MP paves way with village road upgrade

-

SANDAKAN: More than 60 residents of Jalan Hiew Yee Fatt expressed gratitude to Batu Sapi member of parliament Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin for her assistance in upgrading the road at their village.

The days of having to manoeuvre their vehicles across potholes and slippery gravel road during the rainy season are now a thing of the past following the upgrading of the route linking their village to the main road.

Linda had utilised her parliamentary funds to upgrade the route with a concrete road after the residents had highlighted their woes to her during her ‘turun padang’ programme earlier this year.

Meanwhile, Linda also used her funds to build a concrete walkway from a house to the main road at Jalan Kampung Cecily.

Wong Kon Yu, 75, thanked Linda for constructing the walkway as she and her family members had difficulty getting to the main road for public transport because of the slippery passage, particularly during the wet spell.

Also present during Linda’s visit was her office head liaison officer Kong Nyuk Thou.
