SUNGAI PETANI: A woman is looking for the biological mother of a three-year-old girl she wants to adopt to finalise documentation for the adoption.

Saripah Aminah Baharuddin, 46, said the girl, whom she named Nurul Marsya Zahrina Abdullah, was given to her when she was seven-days-old by her biological mother, Mazlina Jeman, 25.

“Nurul Marsya Zahrina was born at the Batu Gajah Hospital in Perak and she was given to me by her biological mother when she was seven days old, together with the birth certificate,” she told reporters at her house here yesterday.

She said she went to look for Mazlina at her family home in Bedong here, but was told that the woman had not returned home since three years ago.

Saripah Aminah said she needed to get in touch with Mazlina to complete the documents for the adoption as required by the Registration office and the Social Welfare Department.
