Kim Hye-soo shines with tough stunts in new film
SEOUL: Actress Kim Hye-soo performed tough action stunts she had never done before in her latest action noir film.
The veteran actress displayed depths and breadths of emotions and, shined in the film.
“I relied on the martial arts team, and tried to be exact in doing the stunts as I learned. But with time, I got immersed in them and felt like I was dancing,” Kim said.
“I thought this would be my first and the last serious action film, but now I want to be better prepared for another one if such opportunity arises.”
In the film, Kim plays the role of a No. 2 in a criminal gang where she helped make the gangster organisation into a large successful business.
The movie, which won the Focus Asia Award at this year's Sitges International Fantastic Film Festival in Spain, will hit local theatres on Nov. 9.
