VistaJet eyes 20-25 pct growth in Malaysia

PETALING JAYA: VistaJet,aglobal businessav­iationcomp­any,isaiming forbetween­20percenta­nd25percen­t growth in Malaysia this year.

Hesaidinth­efirstthre­equarterso­f 2017,VistaJet’sinternati­onalpassen­ger traffic from Malaysia increased 45 per cent, year-on-year, while internatio­nal passenger arrivals into the country increased 18 per cent.

“The number of VistaJet internatio­nal flights departing from Malaysia rose 12 per cent year-onyear, while the number of inbound internatio­nal flights into Malaysia grew 10 per cent,” he said in a media briefing yesterday.

Malaysia is the top three market within the Asian region and the private jet luxury brand expects the demand for business jet services in Malaysia and the rest of Southeast Asia continuing to rise.

Moore said Malaysia was ideally suited to business aviation as multinatio­nal companies benefit from the efficiency and convenienc­e of business aviation.

“The Subang airport is one of the few capital city airports in Southeast Asia largely dedicated to business aviation,” he added.

The top five destinatio­ns departing from Malaysia, he said, were Singapore, Hong Kong, Macau, Jakarta and Phuket while the top five destinatio­ns arriving into Malaysia are Singapore, Hong Kong, Maldives, Phuket and Hanoi. - Bernama
