-

CYBERJAYA: The Global Entrepreneurship Movement (GEM) yesterday launched a multi-platform online radio for entrepreneurs, eFM, which aims to be the definitive resource to maximise effective messages to foster a nationwide entrepreneurial culture and thinking.

The multiple platforms include live radio and video streaming, podcasting and social network integration, in addition to offering in-depth perspectives on entrepreneurial insights and trends for the startup and business community.

eFM targets entrepreneurs, startups, business professionals and enthusiasts as well as aspiring entrepreneurs.

Treasury Secretary-General, Tan Sri Dr Mohd Irwan Serigar Abdullah, who is also GEM patron and founder, said there were a total of 169 government and privateled development programmes for entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises worth RM5.85 billion carried out so far this year.

However, there was not a singular platform that focused on communicating all about the entrepreneurship programmes and initiatives, he added.

“There is a need to create one in order to ensure maximum reach to the community,” he said during the launch of eFM via www.eFM. live at Futurise centre, here yesterday.

Speaking to reporters, Mohd Irwan Serigar said the speakers on eFM included successful food truck operators, FashionValet co-founder, Datin Vivy Yusof and Norah Wax founder,Noorain Mohd Said. — Bernama
