EFM on­line ra­dio to in­cul­cate en­tre­pre­neur­ial cul­ture

CYBERJAYA: The Global En­trepreneur­ship Move­ment (GEM) yes­ter­day launched a multi-plat­form on­line ra­dio for en­trepreneurs, eFM, which aims to be the de­fin­i­tive re­source to max­imise ef­fec­tive mes­sages to fos­ter a na­tion­wide en­tre­pre­neur­ial cul­ture and think­ing.

The mul­ti­ple plat­forms in­clude live ra­dio and video stream­ing, pod­cast­ing and so­cial net­work in­te­gra­tion, in ad­di­tion to of­fer­ing in-depth per­spec­tives on en­tre­pre­neur­ial in­sights and trends for the startup and busi­ness com­mu­nity.

eFM tar­gets en­trepreneurs, star­tups, busi­ness pro­fes­sion­als and en­thu­si­asts as well as aspiring en­trepreneurs.

Trea­sury Sec­re­tary-Gen­eral, Tan Sri Dr Mohd Ir­wan Seri­gar Ab­dul­lah, who is also GEM pa­tron and founder, said there were a to­tal of 169 govern­ment and pri­vateled de­vel­op­ment pro­grammes for en­trepreneurs and small and medium en­ter­prises worth RM5.85 bil­lion car­ried out so far this year.

How­ever, there was not a sin­gu­lar plat­form that fo­cused on com­mu­ni­cat­ing all about the en­trepreneur­ship pro­grammes and ini­tia­tives, he added.

“There is a need to cre­ate one in or­der to en­sure max­i­mum reach to the com­mu­nity,” he said dur­ing the launch of eFM via www.eFM. live at Fu­turise cen­tre, here yes­ter­day.

Speak­ing to re­porters, Mohd Ir­wan Seri­gar said the speak­ers on eFM in­cluded suc­cess­ful food truck op­er­a­tors, Fash­ionValet co-founder, Datin Vivy Yu­sof and No­rah Wax founder,Noorain Mohd Said. — Ber­nama
