Call to make Sri Balung strongest fort of BN

TAWAU: Malaysia Olympic Council deputy president Datuk Mohd Nazifuddin bin Datuk Seri Najib Razak has invited all Taman Sri Balung villagers to show their solid support to the government as proof of making Sri Balung the strongest fort for Barisan Nasional in the coming general election (GE).

Nazifuddin believed Sri Balung can help BN in winning big in the next GE.

He was speaking during a Maulidur Rasul celebratio­n at Taman Sri Balung Mosque here yesterday morning. He also helped 14 children with their haircut.

He said yesterday’s program was good enough for him in his first visit to Tawau. He strongly urged every individual to have good behaviour and to act rightly.

Nazifuddin also sent greetings on behalf of his father Dauk Seri Najib bin Tun Haji Abdul Razak who could not come to Sabah but was always thinking of the people in Sabah.

Touching on the Commonweal­th Games and Asean Games (to be held in Palembang, Jakarta next year), he said Malaysia would send the largest contingent to the Asean Games.

Meanwhile, Umno Youth exco member cum Tawau Umno Youth chief Ariffin Kassim said Tawau would be BN’s fix deposit and the strongest district with strong support from the people towards BN.

Ariffin said the GE was just around the corner and he urged the villagers to unite with the division leadership.
