System Average Interruption Duration Index dips this year

-

TAMBUNAN: The System Average Interruption Duration Index (Saidi) in Sabah showed a decline this year, said Energy, Green Technology and Water ministry’s political secretary Datuk Daniel Kinsik, here.

He said Saidi was an index that measured the period of interruption that occurred within a certain time interval.

“The allocation channelled by the government is able to upgrade the electricity supply and decrease Saidi to customers in the state,” he said when opening the district headmasters council (MGB) dinner with leaders at SRK St Theresa Church Hall here on Saturday.

Daniel, who represented Energy, Green Technology and Water Minister Datuk Seri Dr Maximus Johnity Ongkili, said the 300 MW power plant in Sandakan, when completed would benefit the people of this state with high electricity generation capabilities.

Daniel also praised the collaboration of the district education office and school teachers who have always been improving the quality of education here.

“This includes the results of the UPSR recently as well as organizing an event to bridge ties between the education office staff and schools,” he said.

Also present at the function were district education officer Haison Jahudin, MGB chairman Mailon Intiang, headmasters and teachers.
