LAHAD DATU: The Barisan Nasional government is committed in providing access to education to children, including in this area.

Lahad Datu assemblyman Datuk Mohd Yusof Apdal said various initiatives had been provided to ensure our children were not left out in education.

Yusof said the opportunities were given by the government through various ministries and agencies including the Ministry of Rural and Regional Development (KKLW) and MARA.

“We should be thankful as the government, led by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Abdul Razak, has provided access to education for our children.

“This access aims to ensure that no children are being left out as the government knows that education is important to guarantee a better future for them,” said Yusof after presenting the Maktab Rendah Sains Mara (MRSM) offer letters to 26 students here yesterday.

According to Yusof, there will be no other party like Umno and BN that are committed in developing the country in all aspects, including education.

He said the opposition could spread various lies and slander about BN and Umno but they could not deny the efforts that have been undertaken by BN all this while.

“Instead of spreading lies, slander and also searching for BN weaknesses, the opposition should work for the people as they do nothing for the people,” he added.

During the ceremony, Yusof also presented contribution to the students for their preparation and expressed hope that the children would study hard to achieve success.
