Sarawak has the most efficient public service delivery – Cuepacs president

-

KUCHING: The delivery of public services in Sarawak is believed to be the most efficient in the country through policies planned by the state government to enhance productivity.

Congress of Unions of Employees in the Public and Civil Service (Cuepacs) president Datuk Azih Muda said this was particularly evident in the context of digital economy which would no doubt complement the state government's policies in meeting the needs of the people.

“That is why Cuepacs is very confident to be with civil servants in Sarawak because their planning is always ahead compared to others, which is something the state should be proud of.

“The same should also be said in the context of digital economy emphasised by the state government to provide faster and more efficient service to the people,” he told a press conference after attending the ‘Wacana Jelajah Transformasi Nasional (TN50)' programme organised by Cuepacs that was held at the old State Legislative Assembly Complex here yesterday.

On the programme, Azih said this was one of Cuepac's steps forward in helping the government to ensure that the younger generation of civil servants particularly those aged 40 and below understand the government's aspirations.

“What will happen to this institution if the civil servants do not understand the needs of the people? That is why we are carrying out efforts to complement the government's policies to ensure that the national identity is always there.”

He added that this was also to ensure that the policies planned by the government were not only fulfilled but at the same time achieved greater results.
