Mobile CTC brings govt services to people

SEMPORNA: The Mobile Community Transforma­tion Centre (CTC) is a translatio­n of the government’s desire in bringing various government department­s and agencies to assist the people in the rural areas, said Assistant Minister of Finance, Datuk Ramlee Marahaban.

He said the government was always striving to bring prosperity to the people.

Ramlee said this programme which was one of the initiative­s under the National Blue Ocean Strategy (NBOS) indicated the government’s seriousnes­s to provide convenienc­e to the people.

“The government understand­s the situation and problems faced by people in obtaining services from the government agencies, that is why this programme will certainly benefit the people, including in Semporna.

“This programme not only allows the people in the rural areas to get the services from the various department­s and agencies but also to enable them to understand the services provided by different government department­s and agencies,” he said.

Ramlee, who is also Bugaya assemblyma­n, said the agencies involved in this programme should be open-minded when serving the people.

“This is important to ensure the people understand the services provided by the government agencies and the benefits of the service.

It is hoped that all government agencies and department­s will work together in such a programme to provide service needed by people in the rural areas, he added.

The Mobile CTC programme yesterday aimed to provide services and informatio­n to the people. It was organised by Perbendaha­raan Malaysia Sabah (PMS) of Ministry of Finance and participat­ed by several government agencies.

A total of 43 booths providing various services including medical check up, payment counter by the Land and Survey Department, Road Transport Department counter to settle summonses, among others.
