Welfare of rural community better under Najib's administration – Ismail

-

JEMPOL: The welfare of the rural community is better under the administration of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak, said Rural and Regional Development Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri.

This, he said, was proven with the huge allocation given to the ministry every year.

Ismail said the Barisan Nasional (BN) government always cared and provided the best for the rural community.

"Last year, we received RM3.87 billion, which is the second biggest. Request for development of the rural community is always approved by Datuk Najib. This is because the present government appreciates the rural community because without their (rural residents) support, we will not win.

“So, if we want all sorts of aid, we have to continue to support the present government,” he said at a Walkabout programme at a housing project (PPRT) for the hardcore poor in Kampung Jeram Panjang, Palong 8 yesterday.

Also present was Jempol Umno division leader Senator Datuk Mohd Salim Sharif.

In a related development, Ismail said the ministry had approved the repair of 379 PPRT units and construction of 32 new PPRT units in Negeri Sembilan.

In Jempol, 97 PPRT units will be repaired this year, and eight new units to be built, he said.

Earlier, Ismail officiated a PPRT house belonging to Nazri Arshad, 45, who received RM56,000 for the construction of a house with three rooms and two bathrooms. - Bernama
