MCCC Sabah to continue promoting business with China
KOTA KINABALU: MalaysiaChina Chamber of Commerce (MCCC) Sabah branch will continue to organize activities to promote exchanges and business opportunities with China.
Its president Datuk Frankie Liew said the chamber would hold more dialogues and business matching programmes with officials and business bodies from China this year.
At the same time, he said the chamber would also organize business visits to China.
He hoped that MCCC Sabah branch members would participate in the activities and seize the new business trends and opportunities with their Chinese counterparts.
Liew said this at the Chinese New Year open house hosted by MCCC Sabah branch here yesterday.
He said Malaysian entrepreneurs were credible and trustworthy, adding that Sabah was also blessed with rich natural resources and favourable conditions.
"With the promotion and facilitation by the Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Kota Kinabalu, Liang Caide, I believe Sabah will be the preferred choice for Chinese investors.
"We look forward to more win-win partnerships and joint ventures between both places," said Liew.
The event yesterday also saw the inauguration of Dongshun Group Sdn Bhd new office.
Liew, who is the managing director of Dongshun Group, said the inauguration ceremony marked a new milestone for the company.
Although the business environment has become increasingly challenging with greater competition, he believed that there were opportunities amid the adversities.
He said businesses should seize the opportunities that arose from the changes in market and consumption patterns.
