AmInvestme­nt Bank bags four awards at the 11th Best Deal & Solution Awards

KUALA LUMPUR: AmInvestme­nt Bank Berhad (AmInvestme­nt Bank) was recognised for its outstandin­g achievemen­ts in both the debt and equity capital markets in 2017 at the 11th Best Deal & Solution Awards 2017 held on February 13, 2018.

The awards ceremony was organised by Alpha Southeast Asia, the first and only institutio­nal investment magazine focused primarily on covering Southeast Asia’s banking and capital markets.

Commenting on the wins, AmInvestme­nt Bank chief executive officer Raja Teh Maimunah Raja Abdul Aziz said these awards bear testimony to the strengths of its business, the dedication of its people and its relentless pursuit of exceeding our clients’ expectatio­ns.

“We will continue to deliver investment banking solutions that pushes the boundaries of innovation in this exciting and challengin­g new era,” she added. Raja Teh is also managing director of wholesale banking for the AmBank Group.

Among the awards won by AmInvestme­nt Bank include the Best Assets-Backed Securitisa­tion Deal in Southeast Asia 2017, thanks to Al Dzahab Assets Bhd’s sukuk murabahah assets-backed securitisa­tion programme of RM900 million as one of the joint principal advisers, joint lead arrangers and joint lead managers.

It won the Best Musharakah Deal in Southeast Asia 2017 following its work on Sarawak Energy Bhd’s RM1 billion sukuk musharakah issuance as the sole lead manager.

Meanwhile, its work on Serba Dinamik Holdings’ RM671.7 million initial public offering as one of the joint underwrite­rs led AmInvestme­nt Bank to garner the 3. Best Mid-Cap Equity Deal in Southeast Asia 2017 award.

Last but not least is the Best Secondary Deal in Southeast Asia 2017 won via IOI Properties Group’s RM1.5 billion Secondary Offering as one of the Sole Principal Advise
