I need help to develop Sabah, says CM

PENAMPANG: Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman has called on folks in Penampang to help ensure political stability in the state.

With political stability, more investors will come to Sabah and that will help the state to grow and prosper, he said at MCA Penampang and Donggongon JKDB’s Pesta Ang Pau event here on Saturday night.

“We must ensure that political stability prevails so we can continue to develop the state. I alone as the Chief Minister cannot develop the state, I need the NGOs, the civil servants, the rakyat, everyone’s help to develop this beautiful state of ours.

“We do not talk about race and religion, we are all together to help each other. We are together like one big family. We must respect each other. I will help Penampang and its people,” Musa promised.

Musa also called on voters in Penampang to choose an elected representative that is loyal to its party and not someone who jumps to another party as this is detrimental to the people.

“In Penampang, the elected representatives are from the opposition and they jumped from one party to another. If you choose an MCA candidate he will stay in BN and develop Penampang and BN component parties’ candidates will be loyal to the coalition,” he said.

Musa expressed confidence that should MCA Penampang chief Datuk Francis Goh be fielded and wins in the 14th general election, the latter, with his acumen and experience can develop Penampang.

“I know Datuk Francis is very hard working. I am sure he can help make Penampang more developed and progressive. What we want is development and we must build this town and state.

“We must choose the right candidate and vote for the right party that is BN. We (BN’s elected representatives) will stay put and help to develop the state and district. We are with you before, during and after election.

“We know Penampang is under the opposition but we do not look at that, we want to help the people of Penampang. In BN, we don’t treat any place differently. I give allocations to the DO annually because we want to ensure that development continues,” said Musa, who also announced an allocation of RM200,000 for the Fook Tet Kung temple in Donggongon.

Meanwhile, Goh, who is also deputy MCA Sabah liaison chairman, said that the federal contribution and assistance for the Chinese community in the state proves that BN is a party that treats everyone with fairness and equality.

He also took the opposition like DAP to task for spreading lies and accusation against BN among the Chinese community.
