Jalinan Rakyat ‘most effective weapon’ in election
LAHAD DATU: Jalinan Rakyat (JR) Plus will combine with Umno wings, Wanita, Pemuda and Puteri as well as the movements of Barisan Nasional (BN) component parties in the upcoming general election.
Silam BN Division secretary Kassim Sulaiman said the effort aimed to achieve the target set by BN.
Kassim said the party’s machinery including JR and JR Plus played important roles to guarantee victory for the BN candidate.
He said that following people discussion, it is important for the leadership to choose a candidate with credibility, integrity, extensive experience and good educational background as these determine the candidate’s victory in the election.
“However, the unity among party members and machinery also contribute to the victory of the party.
“Therefore, efforts should be undertaken to further strengthen unity and empower the machinery,” he said in a statement here.
According to Kassim, all component parties should cooperate with JR and JR Plus which is important as this is the most effective weapon in the election.
He said JR and JR Plus were a strategic approach that could be used to establish close ties with the community.
Therefore, he added that all component parties and Umno wings should work together to empower the BN machinery to win in the upcoming general election.
