Inti Deras Motors launches all-new Yamaha MT-09 2018
KOTA KINABALU: Inti Deras Motors recently launched the new model of MT-09 from Yamaha. This revised naked sports bike now comes with a quick-shifter, traction control, three riding modes and adjustable suspension.
Nevertheless, the new MT-09 still carrying the same 847 cc, inline-triple, with a six-speed transmission, three-cylinder engine that produces 115 hp at 10,000 rpm and 87.5 Nm of torque at 8,500 rpm.
New features for the all-new Yamaha MT-09 2018 also include the following:
* New LED projector headlamp and revised rear tail light assembly with LED lighting in two rows that resembles the unit from the MT-10 naked sports bike;
* An upgraded suspension, which now features both compression and rebound adjustment in the 41 mm diameter upside-down forks, while the rear has a mono-shock adjustable for pre-load;
* New Quick shift system (QSS) for clutchless upshifts and A& S clutch for better stability during downshifting; and
* Fuel for the MT-09 is carried in a 14-litre tank, and seat height is set at 820 mm. Braking is done with dual 298 mm diameter brake discs in front and a single disc at the back, with wet weight, claimed to be 193 kg.
With its refined new irresistible bodywork, the new MT-09 undoubtedly evolves into an even sharper and more technologically advanced Hyper Naked.
