Charity match raises funds for SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin
KOTA KINABALU: A total of RM1110 was raised from a charity match between SS90s FC and a Parent-Teacher Association (PTA) team as well as the teachers of SMK Datuk Peter Mojuntin Sports School (DPM) in Penampang.
The match, which took place at the school field on Thursday, was an initiative following a recent fire incident that took down the boys' dormitory.
In addition to raising funds, the event also helped to collect clothing and footwear.
Among the SS90s players in the game were Sabah coach Jelius Ating, Andrew Laban, Bobby Chua, Harun Laban, Hashim Hamzah, Henry Saimpon, Herman Limus, Jumat Jimmy, Hendry Rawi, Jiwi Angking, Yusri Jamrin, Nunsi Ghani, Majed Khan, George Lim, Terrance Majanggong, Ramlan Ramli, Ronny Asmadul, Agustin Paga, Salleh Sulaiman, Idris Hashim, Ahmady Bungsu, Azman Jiran, Azree Rosli and Harun Osman. SS90s won the match 6-5. The school's upper block (second floor) of the doublestorey dorm was razed including clothings, shoes and books in the fire on Monday.
The incident took place when all students were at the assembly hall near the school. No injury or fatality was reported.
