63 pints collected in Red Crescent blood donation drive

TAWAU: A blood donation campaign organised by Tawau Malaysian Red Crescent at the Holy Trinity parish hall here on Sunday was able to collect 63 pints of blood to replenish the blood bank of the Tawau hospital.

The blood donation campaign started from 8 am until 12.30 pm with 84 blood donors registered. Successful donors were given a certificat­e of appreciati­on and a goodies bag.

The Tawau chapter president, Pang Pak Chung, said, the blood donation campaign will be one of their annual activities and will be held several times in a year. He also expressed his gratitude to QL Farms Sdn Bhd for sponsoring eggs and Rich Inspiratio­ns Sdn Bhd for sponsoring soya and chilli sauce, and Holy Trinity Church for the free use of their hall and for encouragin­g church members to support the blood donation campaign.
