Salon worker jailed for hiding woman’s cash
KOTA KINABALU: A salon worker was jailed 20 months by the Magistrate’s Court here yesterday for dishonestly hiding RM700 cash belonging to a staff nurse in his bank account.
Magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie imposed the sentence on Jesper Daniel, 28, after he pleaded guilty to the charge under Section 424 of the Penal Code.
The indictment carries a jail term of up to five years or a fine or both, upon conviction.
The accused had fraudulently hid the cash belonging to the 25year-old woman at Lido Square on October 4, 2016.
