Duo deny raping minor

KOTA KINABALU: Two men claimed trial at the Sessions Court here yesterday to a joint charge of raping a teenage girl.

Sudirman Mahyuddin and Kamruddin Amir who appeared before judge Azreena Aziz, allegedly raped the victim, aged 17 years and three months old, in a room at a lodging house in Beaufort between September 4, 2017 at 11pm and September 5, 2017 at 6am.

The court set July 2-3 and 30-31 for the trial of the duo who were denied bail.

The prosecution told the court that they would produce 13 witnesses to testify against the accused persons.
