March 28 case management for man facing threatening charge

KOTA KINABALU: The Magistrate’s Court here yesterday fixed March 28 for the case management of a man who is charged with threatening a salesman.

Jasmil Alipa, 28, who appeared before magistrate Stephanie Sherron Abbie, faces a charge under Section 506 of the Penal Code.

The accused was alleged to have threatened the 36-year-old salesman by taking a knife and wanting to break his head at an apartment in Penampang at 11am on March 5.

He is liable to a jail term of up to seven years or a fine upon conviction.

The magistrate released the accused on RM3,000 bail with two local sureties pending disposal of his case.
