Nirvana records sales of RM40 million in Sabah, Sarawak
SIBU: Asia’s key bereavement care service provider Nirvana chalked up sales of RM40 million for Sarawak and Sabah last year.
According to Nirvana East Malaysia chief operating officer Aw Kok Wah, the turnover represented 25-per cent growth over the RM32 million in sales recorded in 2016.
“We often joke that the funeral industry is ‘not done by people’. But now, Nirvana is not only providing 24-hour professional services, but it is ever ready to meet all customers’ needs and expectations as well.
“These are things that few people are willing to deal with. Nevertheless, our clients’ gratitude for our services, even after the funeral arrangements, is enough to express everything,” he spoke at the presentation of awards to Nirvana East Malaysia’s outstanding sales agents, which took place at a hotel here recently.
Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) chairman Datuk Tiong Thai King and Nirvana Malaysia chief executive officer Datuk Jerry Yu were also present.
Aw continued by saying that Nirvana has been doing a great job and it is a well-respected business group.
“In fact, it has not been easy for us to maintain over 100 acres of memorial parks in Sibu and Kota Kinabalu over the last 15 years. Still, we’ve been able to do it,” he said.
Adding on, Aw said as the leader of this unique industry, Nirvana would bring all the latest technology to Sarawak and Sabah as a way for it to reciprocate the support that it has been receiving from the public.
