EduQuest fairs connect top students to dream learning institutions
KOTA KINABALU: EduQuest connects Sabah’s top students to their dream higher learning institutions and scholarship programs.
Adelaide Lim Hueybing, SM All Saints’ top 2017 student, had always produced good school grade but it was not until April last year that she was inspired to help treat the sick and pursue a career as a doctor.
“I wanted to be a doctor since April when I was in Form Five. My grandmother got admitted into the hospital for treatment of cancer,” she recollected during a visit to the EduQuest Information and Scholarship Day at a five-star hotel here.
“We always visited the hospital and I was influenced, inspired to help people so that is the reason,” shared Adelaide, who turns 18 this March 27.
Through her first visit to EduQuest Education Fair last year, with school seniors and friends, she learned about medical college AIMST University in Kedah, visited it with her family and took a liking to the campus environment there.
With her 7A+, 1A, 1A- SPM results that she recently received, the Kota Kinabalu lass visited EduQuest again for further information.
“I came here to find out more about my university and my future career. I had already been aiming to get into that university and am very excited,” she said.
“The university did not participate in this fair but I sat for a consultation with the EduQuest counselor here. They gave me the information that includes scholarships offered, guidance and help. They connected me to the school,” she added.
Students that included top Sabah examination achievers have chosen to visit the onestop education fairs organized by EduQuest.
EduQuest Education Services had done its best to give students in Sabah access to as many higher learning institutions, Malaysia or internationally based, as possible since 2002.
The company’s counseling services help students figure out their career path and expose them to higher learning institutions in their well-established network.
Meanwhile, the EduQuest roadshows are held throughout major cities in Sabah in a bid to reach students in those areas.
