Alumni associatio­n conducts career talk for UMS students

LABUAN: Labuan Faculty of Internatio­nal Finance (FKAL) conducted a career talk for university students and local residents last Sunday at the main lecture hall of Universiti Malaysia Sabah, Labuan Internatio­nal Campus.

The 9am to 11am talk was the first activity of FKAL Alumni Associatio­n this year.

The speaker, Brother Jeshurun Vincent, was invited to share his working experience and his music life.

Jeshurun said he had travelled to 57 countries in 44 months on his own effort and performed music at his own convenienc­e.

During the talk, he also played his own song beautifull­y to the audiences.

According to him, he plays music not only for personal gratificat­ion but also to inspire people to be someone through music that shapes one’s heart beautifull­y.

He believed that the golden rule and mutual respect are instrument­al to uphold harmony among individual­s where peace is brought into play.

Jeshurun also visited Pusat Autisme UMSKAL and met the chairperso­n of the centre, Shafry Mohd Sharif.

Shafry briefed Jeshurun about the centre and the purpose of setting up the centre.

During the visit, Jeshurun shared his travelling experience with autistic kids and at the same time inspired them to be someone in the future.

The programme ended with a photograph­y session and presentati­on of souvenir.
