Bosco Wong and Ron Ng reunited for filming of web drama ‘Flying Tiger’
HONG KONG: Actors Bosco Wong and Ron Ng have been reunited on-screen for the Shaw Brothers web drama Flying Tiger.
They had last collaborated in a TV series back in 2003.
Both had left TVB after long stints of filming TV series.
Producers also managed to persuade veteran actor Michael Miu to make an appearance, although his fees put much strain on the production budget.
Joked a laughing Ron: “Tell Michael to charge less! He is too expensive...almost the entire series’ budget. For every explosion, the director shook his head, saying that they had gone over budget again!”
On reports that Bosco’s career in mainland China is flourishing, Ron said: “Still cannot compare with Michael! We just came to accommodate him!”
On the difference of filming on the mainland, he said: “There are differences in terms of lifestyle, filming, and culture. There are also advantages to filming in mainland. Because you are filming in other places for a long period of time, you would concentrate more when filming because you are not with pals. You just focus on reading scripts and working to complete the filming.”
On his reunion with Bosco, Ron said: “Filming this series for three or four months helped in renewing our friendship. Really different from before. We are more mature in the ability to comprehend our performances.”
