30 applicants receive CVLB acceptance letters

SANDAKAN: A total of 30 vehicle trading licence applicants received acceptance letters for their applicatio­ns through Program Mesra Pelanggan Bersama Rakyat (Customers’ Day) held by the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) at a community hall here, yesterday.

The applicatio­ns included licences for express buses, mini buses, school buses and car rentals..

Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman said he welcomed initiative­s that could give positive impacts to the community members involved.

He said he was confident that through the exhibition and dialogue sessions that were held for three days, useful informatio­n could be passed to the target group on the procedures involved in applying for trading licences.

“The success and positive impacts of this programme is proven when applicatio­ns of the applicants are immediatel­y approved.

“Approval letters delivered by the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB) through this programme clearly show that the BN government cares for the rakyat and wants to help in making the process of their applicatio­ns easier,” Musa said in his speech read by Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Panglima Raymond Tan Shu Kiah. Also present were chairman of CVLB Sabah Datuk Raime Unggi, director of CVLB Sabah Arfian Julian, head of CVLB Sandakan branch Mohd Suffian Eting, Umno Sandakan chief Tan Sri Ampong Puyon and Umno Sandakan Women chief Noraini Sulong.

The three-day programme was jointly organised by CVLB Sabah and Sandakan Umno Women Movement and was filled with various exhibition­s by LPKP Sandakan, JKJR Sandakan, Malaysia Royal Police (PDRM) Sandakan, Road Transport Department Sandakan, AADK Sandakan, and Sandakan Labour Department.

Meanwhile, Musa urged the locals to continue to be committed in taking part in various transforma­tion and developmen­t agendas under the leadership of BN.

He said support and loyalty of the rakyat to BN was important to enable more developmen­ts to be enjoyed.

“Let’s continue to be united and work with BN in taking part in developmen­t agendas for the rakyat. I hope BN’s efforts in developing the state will continue smoothly with the support from all,” he added.
