Private & International School Fair returns
THE demand for an international school education has grown over the last few years.
International schools are gaining popularity because they offer globally recognised curricula that prepare students to sit for external international examinations; they use English as the medium of instruction; and there is greater emphasis on developing wellrounded individuals.
In addition to academic excellence, students are encouraged to take part in sports and other extracurricular activities. An international school education is generally expensive but with more schools offering the international curricula today, there is now a range of schools that parents can choose from that will meet their budget and other requirements.
However, every school is different – from fees and facilities, to teaching philosophy and ethos.
A number of international schools in Malaysia also have boarding facilities.
A boarding school education is becoming increasingly popular among parents around the world today as they recognise the advantages that a boarding school experience provides. Students in boarding schools learn to be more independent, responsible, and disciplined.
With so many options in international schools today, parents considering sending their children to one of these schools are advised to do their research before making the leap to international education.
At the Private and International School Fair, parents have the opportunity to speak to representatives from leading international schools from all over Malaysia under one roof and gather the information they need.
Since 2012, Mint Communications have organised a seriesof successful fairs in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor.
