SANDAKAN: The first GH Corner restaurant under GISB Holdings in Sabah was opened in Bandar Utama here launched by incumbent Libaran Member of Parliament, Datuk Juslie Ajirol, who represented incumbent Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Aman.

The restaurant is the 30th GH Corner restaurant, with the other 29 restaurants located in Peninsular Malaysia, as well as in other countries including Indonesia, Egypt, Jordan, Thailand and Australia.

The restaurant is to be run by skilled and trained Muslim teens from Akademi Generasi Harapan (AGH), a subsidiary company of GISB Holdings.

AGH also produces teenagers who are skilled in education, culture, economy, agriculture, information technology, and multimedia. The students of the academy are also taught Islamic values and knowledge, to produce graduates who are faithful to Islam with Islamic values and life principles.

“I find it very impressive that all projects under GISB Holdings did not involve any loans from banks. I hope that more youths, particularly in Sabah will come forward in the community to develop the Muslim economy, and provide Halal and ‘suci’ food to the public. More importantly, GISB Holding’s efforts to create ambitious, big hearted, teenagers for the country, religion and race (is commendable),” said Musa in his speech read by Juslie.

The first floor of the restaurant has an exclusive design by the teenagers involved, and is suitable for special occasions such as meetings, celebrations, small gatherings and corporate events.

GH Corner is located at Block C, Lot 23, Bandar Utama, Phase 1, Mile 6, Jalan Utara, Sandakan. It serves a wide range of halal food including local and western cuisine.

Also present was Director of GISB Holdings, Azral Mohd Noor.
