Shafie has never visited Batu Sapi — Musa

-

SANDAKAN: Chief Minister Tan Sri Musa Haji Aman said Parti Warisan Sabah president Datuk Seri Shafie Apdal had never set foot in Batu Sapi.

In fact, he said the Warisan candidates contesting in the Batu Sapi parliamentary, Karamunting and Sekong state seats were former Barisan Nasional members.

“The Warisan’s candidate for Sekong was formerly the deputy head of Batu Sapi Umno Division but he chose to betray and quit the party, and Batu Sapi parliamentary candidate, Datuk Liew Vui Keong was previously rejected in the Sandakan parliamentary seat.

“They are the same as their president, they are treacherous to the party and the leaders, and now want to contest in Batu Sapi, but I believe people here are wise to judge and vote for candidates and parties that are trustworthy,” he explained.

According to Musa, the situation is very different for the Batu Sapi BN candidates who are always working for the people in the area.

“Although our P.185 Batu Sapi candidate, Datuk Linda Tsen Thau Lin, is a lady, she is hardworking, so are Lim Kai Ming and Datuk Samsudin who are committed in fulfilling their respective responsibilities.

“Right now we are on the right track and I believe the people in Batu Sapi will continue to be with BN,” he explained.

Meanwhile, Musa welcomed the crossover of over 1,000 opposition members into BN.

The 754 Warisan members were following the lead of Sekong branch secretary Abdullah bin Madun while the 146 Parti Kerjasama Anak Negeri (PKAN) members were following the lead of Kampung Seri Pantai Pulau Berhala Laut branch chief Asmaran bin Mohd Esah and branch chief of Kampung Seri Pantai Pulau Berhala Tengah, Siper Bin Tuala.

Apart from them, 120 members of Parti STAR led by Sungai Sibuga chief division, Roslan bin Yusof also pledged to join BN.

Their membership forms were handed to Prime Minister and Barisan Nasional chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak during the officiating ceremony of SK Bahagia school building, Jalan Batu Sapi, on Monday.
