Hamisa expects clean fight for Tg Batu

-

TAWAU: It will be a clean fight for Tanjong Batu as the candidates have known each other for quite well.

Tanjong Batu incumbent candidate Datuk Hamisa Samat said personal attacks on social media will not happen between her and her opponents.

“We know each other well,” she said after chairing the Tanjong Batu voting centre meeting (PDM) on Sunday night.

Her opponent in Tanjung Batu is Ismail Senang of Warisan.

Meanwhile, Hamisa said efforts to create a new Kalabakan town would be continued by her side.

She said the development of the town, when realized, would be able to provide new breath, especially from the socio-economic aspect for the people in Kalabakan.

Hamisa said Yayasan Sabah had also agreed to provide 1,000 hectares of land to develop the area.

The visit of Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak to Sabah during the GE14 campaign period is creating history for the people in the state, especially in Tawau.

Hamisa said there had been no BN president or chairman before this who was willing to go down to the field like Najib did.

“We see that Datuk Seri Najib is a leader who is quite concerned for the people of Sabah and he is always close to the people.

“This is a history for us in Sabah, especially for the people of Tawau and every time our leader comes down we expect good news,” she said.

Earlier, the Tanjong Batu BN candidate visited the Keramat voting center and met voters at the Mee Tauhu Stall.
