Yayasan Sabah Group connects with people

KUDAT: Yayasan Sabah Group has continued to empower education developmen­t and create intellectu­als who will boost the developmen­t of the State.

From providing educationa­l opportunit­ies and facilities, Yayasan Sabah Group now provides career and entreprene­urial opportunit­ies as well, said its Deputy Director of Yayasan Sabah, Datuk Hajah Rosmawati Haji Lasuki at the Yayasan Sabah With The People Roadshow held at Dewan Terbuka Pekan Baru Matunggong here yesterday.

The roadshow was officiated by Chief Minister cum chairman of the Board of Trustees of Yayasan Sabah, Tan Sri Datuk Seri Panglima Musa Haji Aman.

Rosmawati said Yayasan Sabah Group will also continue to focus on the developmen­t of human capital in rural and urban areas. Through its six zone offices, various programmes were implemente­d to improve the living standards of local people.

“Through seminars, training courses and handson programmes, Yayasan Sabah Group further enhances the people’s skills and potentials in many areas, especially in entreprene­urship. Programmes organised through the zone offices, have produced entreprene­urs and indirectly boosted the dmall and medium industry,” said Rosmawati.

She added the strong cooperatio­n with other government and on-government­al organisati­ons as well as local leaders had greatly benefitted the local communitie­s.

“Furthermor­e, with the support of the Federal and State Government­s, Yayasan Sabah Group has developed the Sabah Internatio­nal Convention Centre (SICC) which will open more business and career opportunit­ies and increase the people’s capacity, especially for the youths in the State,” she said.

Through this roadshow, Yayasan Sabah Group collaborat­ed with JobsMalays­ia in providing job opportunit­ies through open interview sessions which were well-received by the public.

The open interview sessions gave an insight to job seekers on the current trend and requiremen­ts for job seekers. JobsMalays­ia also provides free services to portal users.

The roadshow continues to give a positive impact to the public.
