Chance to win dream house, car with Shopee Cahaya Raya campaign

KUALA LUMPUR: Shopee, an online shopping platform, will be holding its Cahaya Raya campaign offering prizes worth over RM1.5 million for its shoppers from May 3 until June 17.

The prizes include a house worth RM350,000, a Honda HRV car worth RM100,000 and a Volkswagen Polo worth RM80,000 for the lucky winners in the Ketupat Raya in-app game.

The campaign, held in collaborat­ion with Visa, will also feature exclusive deals for more than 100,000 products and up to 90 percent discount.

“Our Cahaya Raya campaign is launched in response to the insights we derived from our survey. Users can shop for a variety of over 100,000 products at up to 90 percent off, across popular categories including Fashion, Health & Beauty, and Home & Living.

Also, as Hari Raya is all about celebratin­g with family and loved ones, we decided to add some cheer by giving away a ‘rumah impian' (dream house) and two cars as part of this campaign. We hope to make it a dream come true for our lucky winners,” said Shopee regional managing director, Ian Ho, in a statement.

Meanwhile, Visa country manager for Malaysia, Ng Kong Boon, said: “During this festive season, we believe in creating the best partnershi­ps, such as with Shopee, to provide benefits that are relevant for Malaysians and Visa is committed to promoting the growth of electronic payments in Malaysia.”

Shopee has partnered with many leading brands including Nestle, XES Shoes, Honor Malaysia, Maybelline, Watsons, ASUS, Petpet, Universal Traveller, Russell Taylors and Dettol to provide a series of attractive deals during the Cahaya Raya campaign peaks from May 3 to 6 and May 24 to 27.

Shopee shoppers can enjoy non-stop deals, promotions and Shocking Sale flash deals and stand a chance to win other prizes such as Shopee coins, vouchers, television sets, portable irons, hair dryers and many more.

In a survey conducted by Shopee from April 2 to 9, it was found that 80 percent of the 140,000 respondent­s start their celebratio­n preparatio­ns as early as one month before Ramadan and around 90 percent of them regularly shop online, with 95 percent citing price and promotions as the main reason for preferring to shop online.
