DAP candidate says gets 2,000 likes after billboard vandalised

-

DAP candidate for the Subang Jaya state seat, Michelle Ng Mei Sze, said she garnered 2,000 likes on her Facebook page after pictures emerged of the billboard featuring PKR candidate for Subang Wong Chen and her being vandalised with red paint.

Ng said she was alerted to the matter on Labour Day morning and lodged a police report in the afternoon.

“I've been informed by the police that this is the first case in the entire country that's known to them.

"I'm a little indebted to the culprits, as thanks to this, I have garnered 2,000 likes on my Facebook page after the incident, so thanks for the publicity," said Ng at a ceramah in SS14, Subang Jaya.

In response to the issue, Barisan Nasional (MCA)'s Subang Parliamentary candidate Tan Seong Lim said such actions were akin to Ah Long (loan shark) tactics and that Barisan was against such acts.

Kelana Jaya MCA chief Yap Yun Fatt clarified that Barisan had nothing to do with it.

“As far as Barisan is concern, we do not condone such acts as it does not benefit us; plus, it's illegal.

“I suspect the culprits want to jeopardise Barisan's good name. If after investigation, it is found that Barisan supporters did it, we will not back them.”

Tan and Yap made the statements after the launch of the Kinrara Barisan Nasional manifesto in Taman Bukit Kuchai, Puchong.
