Hartalega invests over RM14 million to upgrade ERP system
KUALA LUMPUR: Synthetic glove manufacturer, Hartalega Holdings Bhd, is investing over RM14 million to upgrade its enterprise resource planning (ERP) system as part of its commitment towards realising Industry 4.0.
The company said the ERP project was targeted for launch by year-end, piloting at its next generation integrated glove manufacturing complex in Sepang.
This would then be rolled out at the group’s Bestari Jaya plants in Selangor next year, it said in a statement.
Partnering with 9 Dots Consulting, the group would implement the complete suite of Microsoft Dynamics 365 to consolidate and streamline processes across all its business functions.
“Hartalega’s prowess in production technology and innovation is a key factor in maintaining our competitive advantage.
“Capitalising on advanced technologies such as Industry 4.0 and the Internet of Things will enable us take the next step, bridging automation and data connectivity to develop sophisticated integrated manufacturing and business systems,” Hartalega managing director Kuan Mun Leong said.
He said Hartalega recognised the need to implement ERP to reduce costs and wastage in its production process.
This would enable the group to strengthen operations and integrate automation across supply chain, further enhancing productivity, improving efficiencies, reducing costs and boosting profitability for the long-term, he added. — Bernama
