Bank Rakyat clinches 1Malaysia Employer Award

KUALA LUMPUR: Bank Rakyat has bagged the 1Malaysia Employer Award in the Large Organisati­ons/Government­Linked Companies category.

The 1Malaysia Employer Award, jointly organised by the Human Resources Ministry and the Social Security Organisati­on, honoured the country’s top employers that have contribute­d to the developmen­t of employees’ skills, knowledge, productivi­ty and capabiliti­es through excellent human resources strategies and practices.

In a statement, the Islamic co-operative bank said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak presented the award to chairman Tan Sri Shukry Mohd Salleh during the recent National Labour Day celebratio­n at the Putra World Trade Centre,

Bank Rakyat Chief Human Capital Officer Mohd Farid Shah Mohd Basir said the award was in recognitio­n of the bank’s business transforma­tion initiative­s.

“Winning the award signifies Bank Rakyat’s commitment in providing a conducive, dynamic and inspiring working environmen­t that offers employees the opportunit­ies to realise their full potential,” he added.

The bank also received recognitio­n recently at the 26th World HRD Congress 2018 held in Mumbai.

It clinched three top awards there, including Innovation in Recruitmen­t, Best Apprentice­ship and Usage of Digital Media in Recruitmen­t. — Bernama
