“We expect a turnout of about 1,200 All Saints exstudents from final year forms 3, 5 and upper 6 classes from 1950 to 2015 consisting of 65 classes.
“Many alumni are returning from the USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, Holland, Germany, Hong Kong, China and Singapore to attend this most inclusive and well represented the School’s 115 Year Reunion dinner. Our oldest participants are Datuk Babu Singh at 98 years old followed by the school’s first captain Datuk Lok Kin Joung at 93 years.”
According to the association’s president Dr. Jes Lim Tyng Yee, who was the founder President and Advisor of Federation of Sabah Industries and Manufacturers, the overwhelming response from All Saints’ alumni was due to the fact that for the first time in the school’s history, All Saints’ School had its own alumni association in its name that all alumni could identify with pride and are free and comfortable to join without any constraints.
“Previously the Anglican Schools Alumni Association (ASAA) was trying to represent All Saints’ School alumni without much success with few alumni participating in its limited activities.
“Malaysian Government’s all inclusive school enrolment policy, mission schools like All Saints with over 60 percent of its enrolments are Muslims, Catholics, Buddhists and from other faiths and cultures have been studying in the school.”
