Three from S’wak at national Bintang Kecil contest

KUCHING: Three best participants in the state level Bintang Kecil competition held at Auditorium P Ramlee, RTM Kuching last Saturday will represent Sarawak at the national level Bintang Kecil competition on December 1.

They are Puteri Nurnasuha Yahya, Syayid Afi Jamin and Nor Mohamed Muzaid.

The trio won themselves cash worth RM2,000 each, trophies and certificates.

Three other contestants received consolation prizes of RM1,000 cash, trophies and certificates.

Putri Nurnasuha belted out two songs, ‘Camar Yang Pulang’ and ‘The Sun Will Rise’, while Syayid performed ‘Gemuruh’ and ‘Never Enough’ and Nor Mohamed sang ‘Hidup Dalam Mati’ and ‘Walking on Sunshine’ to woo the judges.

Minister of Welfare, Community Wellbeing, Women, Family and Childhood Development Datuk Seri Fatimah Abdullah accompanied by Deputy Director RTM Sarawak Faridah Sulong presented prizes to the three best performers.

The event also saw performances by Camaiellya Edward, Bintang Kecil 2017 finalist and Asad Motawh.
